Vacancy: Content, PR & Social Marketeer in Amsterdam

We’re looking for a native Dutch content marketeer for our office in Amsterdam. This candidate is responsible for the (international) content, PR and Social Strategy for Springest. You’ll create qualitative content that matches the interest of our different stakeholders (users, training institutes and HR-professionals). You will build “the Amazon of Learning” with your German, English and Dutch colleagues. The mission? Supporting everyone in their personal and professional development. Our passion is personal and professional growth through courses, training programs and every other medium for learning. We hope you share this passion as well.

Do you have an entrepeneurial mindset and a passion for quality and progress? Are you keen on discussion and capable of explaining your ideas in a visual manner? Do you like to brainstorm with colleagues, and wouldn’t mind calling our research partner, PR agency or Media Partner as well? Are you accurate and are you familiar with Google Spreadsheets, SurveyGizmo and MailChimp? Are you aware that ‘Hummingbird’ is not a bird? Are you a Social Media fan that can you handle Hootsuite? And, the most important: are you willing to learn, openminded and proactive to get things done? Help Springest grow, and grow with us…

What to expect from us:

  • A very enjoyable workspot in the heart of Amsterdam, with movable desks, table tennis, pool table, photoplay and a lot of other creative organisations around you.
  • A young fast growing team around you with 9 developers, 5 support/content-managers, 3 online marketeers, 4 sales/business-developers and a user experience designer.
  • Great working conditions including free lunch, nice green tea, espresso, OV-bike and travel allowance.
  • Shares of Springest with a permanent contract.
  • Minimum budget of €1000.- to use for books, education and conferences (such as Link Love and Search Love in London).
  • An educational environment: aside of your colleagues, you’ll regularely work with external experts (such as Joost de Valk, Ulco Wierenga, Martijn Anschutz, Nina Baumann).

We’re looking for:

Someone who’s got potential and wants to learn more. Your future team can turn their hand to everything: open source webdevelopment, online marketing, customer support, account management, sales and product development. You’re helpful, positive and inspire your team members because we constantly focus on execution. Here is a list of some responsibilities you will be given when joining Springest:

  1. Set content marketing targets and create a strategy for 2014 with Peter and Yasmin. Transform successful projects into new initiatives in the Netherlands and other markets.
  2. Provide a steady growth of content with Yasmin for NL, Eva in DE, your new UK colleague and Peter. Work with Hootsuite, Raven, Ahrefs, Seomoz and other tools and make the process scalable.
  3. Mail, LinkedIn, Tweet and grab the telephone to expand the PR with niche blogs, jobsites, LinkedIn group owners, Media Partners, relevant Twitter personnel and news media.
  4. Brainstorm with our research partner to develop new ideas and initiatives, to create campagnes for the different stakeholders (users, training institutes & HR professionals).
  5. Write newsletters and blogposts for users and guestposts for Media Partners. Think of other groups to create content for as well.
  6. Create a plan for 2014 version of the Best Training Institute of the Year Election (Beste Opleider van NL Verkiezing). Could we do that in England and Germany too?
  7. What kind of (SEO) content could we add to Springest to attract more visitors looking for professional education and personal development?
  8. Provide a steady link growth together with Yasmin for NL, Eva in DE and some external freelancers in other countries.
  9. Get inspired by Rand Fishkin’s (certainly not a saint, but if you don’t know him you can stop reading ;)) view on Springest at Search Love. What do we have to do with our product to maintain our rankings in the long term?
  10. Nest yourself in the Learning and Development sphere. As knowledge- and newsprovider, expand our knowledge and network, while taking advantage of it in your marketing and communication.
  11. Nest yourself in the Learning and Development sphere. As knowledge- and newsprovider, expand our knowledge and network, while taking advantage of it in your marketing and communication.
  12. And the most important part: take the lead and improve our marketing on the basis of your ideas and data. Do it live, or get it done.
